Classic US Power Metal

"1988's Master Control was the final album from US power metal band Liege Lord. The band continued the uncompromising Judas Priest/Iron Maiden-worshiping power metal sound they started on Freedom's Rise and Burn to My Touch, this time with new singer Joe Comeau. While the band's style may not have changed, they still managed to improve with each album, making Master Control their best work (to my ears anyway). The whole album is solid, but their cover of Rainbow's Kill the King is a particular highlight.
Sadly, the band did not survive the 1990's, which was a notoriously difficult time to play this kind of music.
The Metal Blade reissue of Master Control may not have any bonus material, but does feature digitally remastered sound, which breathes new life into the classic album. This is a great power metal album, and should appeal to just about any power metal fan. Those of you who enjoy Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Jag Panzer, and Helstar should definitely find Liege Lord right up your alley.

If you are boried about the "sportwear metal", and you want to hear THE LEATHER AND STEEL METAL, get it now.
Awesome guitar solos, god voice, god production, a must have for the 80s and 90s metal fans."
