I Hate Country Music, But I Love This Album

"To be fair, this album isn't quite country. It's more rock, maybe country-rock.

I actually went to Houghton College with the members of this band, although I knew none of them personally. I've seen them perform tracks from this album live, and I own this album, and I really love it. Enough of a country flavor to have unconventional and more raw, but not too much country (nothing like modern popular country music, which I hate).

Some personal favs for me: Country Visions, She Makes Me, Faraway You, Ballad of You, Me and the Other Guy, Deep Country (BEAUTIFUL song), Song About Life, and Mama.

Sorry to choose so many favs. It's hard to resist.



Honestly, I don't have much of any bias because I went to Houghton with these guys. I, and all I've shown this album to, all love it. If you can find it for a decent price (which I see it selling for on this site), then I highly recommend you pick it up. These guys really deserve to make it big. This stuff's better than most crap you hear nowadays."
