"Ladysmith Blak Mambazo are wel knoiw from their contribution to Paul Simon's 1986 release Graceland. After that Paul Simon produced the 1987 release from Shaka Zulu. This album was rewarded a grammy in 1988. The band repeated this achievement in 2005 with their album raise your spirit higher.

I was shopping for a SACD from a band not yet in my collection. It was how I found this album. After listening to the samples I ordered it. Now that I own it I'm more than glad I did.

There are two songs that also appear on Graceland. The ones on this album are very different: you have almost nothing but singing people. And Melissa Etheridge and Joe McBride on diamons on the soles of her shoes and Sara McLachlan on Homeless make it a very different song.

So far every new round of listening makes me here more of the effects, sound balancing and mixing.

It is a superiour sound first from the singers themselfs and secondly from the arrangment and mix. The CD is a goud mix of different songs in style, sound and speed. Never a dull moment!

I'm sure that there will be more of the albums in my collection soon.

The stereo mix is of good quality but not as good as the multi channel one. The multichannel one makes you experience more: feels like you are of the members, you're in the music instead of listening to it comming form your front speakers."
