Outstanding recording of a forgotten gem!

"An extremely well-done and moving recording of Kurt Weill's "Street Scene", and the only complete, un-cut score recording. Wonderful singers are a highlight (including a great cameo by Arleen Auger), and the story that takes place in a New York tenement shows how well Weill absorbed American life. Conductor John Mauceri can also be heard as the speaking character, "Office Murphy"."
