"Into The Darkness"

"Okay, so this is the first single off "Until The End". They couldn't possibly release a worse single, nor could they record a worse track. Anyway, my review is non-biased.

1. "Into The Darkness (Vocal Remix)" - If you have "Until The End", this is exactly the same as track 11. This song is bad, but I'm less disgusted by it than before. 2/5

2. "Sugar (Talking Vocal Alt)" - This is the best track off the CD. Basically, it's exactly the same as on "Until The End" but she speaks the first verse. That is the only difference. The song starts off exactly the same, the only alteration is instead of growling the first verse she speaks. "I can taste the wreckage of dismembered dreams/Ghostly disciple/Nothing as it seems/I will follow you until this dark cloud recedes/Pain of another heal this I plead" is the only part of the song where there's even a slight change. I love the album version, so of course this song, being almost exactly the same gets the same rating. 5/5

3. "Into The Darkness (Aggro Vocal Version)" - Umm, in theory, I should love this song. But I don't. I love Morgan's growl, but this song is so upbeat sounding and melodic, the growls just make it sound stupid. It's more listenable than the album version(s) though. Meh, don't hate it, yet it does nothing for me.

There is also the video for "Into The Darkness". I don't like the song, but I have a thing for music videos. It's in QuickTime, so this means I can't put it on a VCD and watch it on my TV. The video isn't bad, but the song as a singular unit is stupid.

Overall, there is only one track I LIKE on this CD, and then there's the video. Meh, it's not that bad overall, but if you like "Into The Darkness" you'll probably love this single."

"This is a pretty cool cd to add to your Kittie collection. even though there is nothing special about it, the songs are still cool, and it's cool that there is a video on here. This cd would be good for introducing people to Kittie, because it has the variety of the songs from "until the end", and another reason to pick this cd up is to support the band with the current situation they're in."
