CD Reviews

Kinison
Keith Douglas | JERSEY | 03/09/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"the kinison is deffinately one of the sickest bands out there today. to the guy that said the screams werent passionate enough, must have everything mixed up... the screams are the craziest screams ive ever heard with this type of music...actually this isnt any type of music, this cd and band has one of the most unique sounds ive ever heard, the cd is deffinately worth the price and the beats and music they have are amazing, i think this band would be the next big thing if people knew about them."
A little something different.

"I'm impressed with this release from The Kinison.

Overall you have a somewhat 80's inspired, groovy, darn catchy hard rock album. Mind you they do have some intense "hardcore" moments and this compliments the fun, danceable parts of the album. I think it's a good mix --think Refused but with an 80's bubblegum pop aspect. I know, I know ...a description like that would normally turn me off but this is good rock. Despite being "fun" music, the lyrics and song structures show a band that's playing with some obvious influences but all the while trying to push things to be a little different.

(The EP is good, has a slightly less "produced" sound and is overall a little harder-edged)"

"The Kinison i think have great potential i saw these guys live supporting blink 182 (because there signed to Travis Barker's Record lable "La Salle Records") on tour last month and i was very impressed the drummer is insane and the lead singer has the highest vioce i have ever heard my favourite track on the CD is farm and the girls"
