The Kings were a new wave rock outfit out of Toronto, Canada. They had two charting albums in the early 1980's, The Kings Are Here (1980) & Amazon Beach (1981). We now present them both on a single disc. The Kings Are Here reached # 74 on the Billboard charts and contains their only hits, 'Switchin' To Glide' & 'The Beat Goes On'. Wounded Bird.

"I remember hearing "switchin' to glide" while playing (and just getting good at it) ASTEROIDS at the local arcade. I was trying to finish college (on the 7 year plan) and had stopped by the arcade to play and have a beer; when in the middle of a game this song came on and it was all I could do to finish and simultaneosly listen to this incredible song. This ended up being a favorite favorite group of mine and until now I only had a cassette I'd recorded to listen to. GET IT, BUY IT NOW. If you like party music a la Joe King Carrasco, you'll really get off on this."
