Marie Queenie Lyons and Gloria Walker are off the hook, serious soul singing queens. Every track on here is good though. It has all different kinds of funk. Slower bluesy tracks as well as lighter danceable tracks, for twinkle toe types. Each song is thick, gritty, raw. It's really impossible to not move something on your body when you hear it. It's definitely more underground style funk circa 68-73 with most of the artist remaining not so well known by most. Which makes it really good in my book. No starlett types just pure soul."
