CD Reviews

Wind Shadows just as great as Water Spirit
03/08/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have this and Water Spirit and Angels in Disguise for many years on cassette and never tire of them. My baby son was soothed by this music and still at the age of 4 loves it at his bedtime. True Celtic heavenly music, great for meditation healing and nurturing. I just wish I could order a new copy of Water Spirit as well."
Hearing this album made me fall in love with harp music.

"Put this music on, and all your cares will drain away as your mind floats on the sounds Kim's tender melodies. Close your eyes, and drift over the Irish fields of clover in Springtime, or across the rocky shoreline of Scotland, or just the imagined world of your dreams. Listen to this music, and dream."
Peace and shear beauty

"All of Kim's music is beautiful, but her compositions "Bittersweet" I and II, and the traditional "Aran Boat Song" are my favorites and make this one of the few collections of music I won't be without. I was lucky enough to come across Kim Robertson playing in a coffee house near the UC Santa Barbara campus back in my college days, and bought "Wind Shadows" on cassette when it first came out. I took the cassette with me when I went through Army basic training, way back in 1984, where I gave it to a fellow soldier who fell in love with Kim's music. I've gone through 3 cassettes that way and now have the CD. Thankfully, Kim's music is easily available these days and I just order a CD as a special gift or point folks towards Kim's site (or Amazon) and keep my copy for myself! :-)"
