Synopsis

Album Description
Kate Miller-Heidke truly arrives this year, and delivers what we've been waiting for from an Australian solo artist for years. Her new album Little Eve beautifully combines her unique theatrical personality and the adorable peculiar girl inside her. It's a collection of charming and eclectic songs about a modern girl's life and her world, and the result of a focused and determined artist expressing herself through its creation. Modest and gorgeous, Kate's fresh, innovative and edgy folk/pop softly melts the insides of her enchanted listeners, and establishes her as one of Australia's most exciting musical talents.

CD Reviews

Good album but confused lyrics
Ben | Perth, WA, Australia | 07/19/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This debut album for Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke is a good album but some of the songs are a bit confusing. Kate has written or co-written most of the songs and they have something that when you think you know what the song means, you sort of don't. The track "Ducks Don't Need Satellites" has the best lyrics and tell how ducks have no cares or worries and thats how people want to live. The way Miller-Heidke uses her operah voice and uses it with pop is amazing and is used on most songs. The best tracks include "Words", "Mama" (which hopefully is the second single), "Little Adam" and "Bored with Me". If you liked "Words" then buy this album, but the CD single version of the song is much better than the album's version."
