CD Reviews

A soulful experience

"Hmmmmmmm... Like anything else, everyone has different tastes in house music. Saying this however, this is definitely one of the nicer house cds out there. Many of the songs have a rather hypnotic melody, catchy beats, and soulful taste - I would say a unique distinction for Kaskade. This CD has a mellow and beautiful quality to it - just put it in your CD player, close your eyes and let your mind drift afar."
Refreshing, different & completely addictive!!

"Kaskade treats you with the very best of deep house, broken beats and chill. His sound is soulful and incredibly melodic! I couldn't wait until this album came out because he teased us with his other Om records releases! Some notable songs on the album are "It's You It's Me" (true San Fran sound!), "Call Me Wise," "This Rhythm," "What I Say," (Hot song!) & "I Feel Like."If you like artists like Miguel Migs, Mark Farina & Blue Six, then this is a must have album!!!! Every deep house fan will fall in love with this album!!"
Unexpected...

"I heard the slightly cheesy but really catchy single "It's You It's Me" on the radio and figured I'd buy. I was surprised with what I found. This isn't straight-ahead house. This is a unique and soulful exploration of jazz-house; it never strays too far from mainstream, but it never _is_ mainstream, either. In some ways, I'm reminded of Royksopp's Melody A.M.: the elements seem familiar, but the result feels fresh.Standout tracks include the title track and the stunningly beautiful and hard-to-pin-down This Rhythm... To be honest, I found something to like in each and every track: a rarity for me when listening to electronic CDs."
