"I already reviewed the Australian import version of this album so I'll just copy and paste it.

"Since this album released months ago it's been receiving constant rotation in my stereo. Each song on Sound Awake is a masterpiece, and the final two tracks which make up a good 24 minutes of the album just seemingly fly by.

With the music industry the way it is today it's not very often that an artist releases an album that is this polished and has serious classic appeal, however, I believe Karnivool has accomplished that with Sound Awake and is one of those albums that I will be listening to for years to come. If you liked Themata you need to get this album... just allow yourself some time to let it grow on you because it is a very different record from their last release. Highly recommended and so far the greatest release of the year from any band I've heard (and I like all kinds of music)."

I'd also like to mention that this music trumps anything being released by American artists these days. Australia's music scene reminds me of the American music scene in the '90s before it got corporate and out of control. Buy this album and see these guys live while they're here to show your support.

"This band will take what you've heard before from rock, alternative, progressive, chew it up and extrude it into something you've never heard before. Then server it to you on your usual expectations and completely blow them away. This band is nothing short of creative, imaginative and inspirational. This is a must buy, this artist must be supported at all cost! To lose these guys would be to miss on the doors, Zeppelin, The Who, Tool, Crimson Creed."
