CD ReviewsModern original with strong African Energy 04/14/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "Kapa Dech played live in August 1998 in Inhambane, Mozambique. Only myself and one other person there was white. They are superb performeers, and I purchased the album directly from them. The album production does not match their quality and inspiration as a live band, but they are clearly the top band from Mozambique, and the background rythm is strong African but with a modern style. The language is Portuguese, and I do not understand this, but my Mozambiquan friends who listened to the music felt the lyrics were very beautiful and related to their culture. I bought a tape, but will be buying the CD as a memory of a very beautiful winter spent with very beautiful people."
