CD Reviews

"Unleashed in the East", continued, and loving it!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Any true Priest fan will appriceate the additional four tracks on this CD. For those of you who know the original "album" by heart, as I do, what a treat for this CD not to end after "Tyrant"!! Although you could buy the original 'Unleashed...' for less money, DON'T. This one's the one you really want!! Being one of the best live rock albums ever, I'm pleased to tell you that the additional songs are as good as the original cuts and provide an appropriate end to a classic album. As the first "new" track on this CD says, Rock Forever! And you will with this one!!"
The Beast That Is Priest

"Are you kidding me? This is one of the best examples of a hard rock/heavy metal band performing live ever recorded (its only rivals may be UFO's Strangers In the Night or Saxon's Eagle Has Landed albums which I would also highly recommend). Halford's vocal range is simply awesome; the double lead guitars of K.K. and Tipton are incredible; and Les Binks (yes, Les Binks) on drums is flawless. This album kicks ass and is definitely worth the extra money for the 4 bonus tracks which were not included on the Unleashed In The East version released in the US (particularly since 2 of those extra tracks are gems like Rock Forever and Starbreaker). This disc definitely delivers the goods."
