"Herb Ohta Jr is as good a musician as his famous father. His playing is melodic, rhythmically interesting and always easy to listen to. Daniel Ho has the same qualities, playing his slack key ukulele from Koaloha. This has the same wonderful feel as the Les Paul/Chet Atkins duets, without any extra musicians. They feed off of each other well, and they both are obviously having fun doing so. The lovely two ukulele/slack key ukulele performance of Anna's Song, with Herb Ohta Sr playing as well, is a bonus, and a welcome one. This is just plain lovely music played by excellent musicians."

"I am a guitar player(flamenco, classical, folk, Argentine gaucho music) who recently heard for the first time the beautiful tune, Song for Anna, by Andre Popp played by the Paul Mauriat orchestra. A little detective work revealed that it was written in 1972 explicitly for the Hawaiian ukulele virtuoso, Herb Ohta. He recorded it as a solo, and it sold six million copies. I was so fascinated by this that I bought all the versions of the song I could find--even the sheet music (on ebay).
Step 2 contains the most recent version of the Song for Anna played by Ohta-san, his son Herb Ohta, Jr, and Daniel Ho on ukuleles. It also contains 10 other songs--all instrumental ukulele duets by Ohta Jr. and Daniel Ho. It is a delightful collection. I highly recommend it."
