CD Reviews

Once again another brilliant space music C.D.
Mark W. Daniel | Huntsville, Ala | 07/03/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I make no secret about it I am Jonn Serrie's biggest fan. His music consistantly delivers the right mood, tone and atmosphere that a true new age/space music audiophile like myself is constantly lookig for. This C.D. continues in the same tradition. The music lifts you away and transports you to your own "Secret galaxy" where one discovers new worlds inside his or her's own being. This is another one of Jonn's timeless works that you never grow bored of listening to. I have had the album since 1995 and it still sounds just as fresh today as it did when I first bought it. A real must for space music fans. My iPod is never without it."
Great Audio Planetarium Experience

"Although I have probably heard Jonn Serrie's music before in planetarium visits, I was never aware of who the person behind the music was. As big fan of "space music" and of music by Steve Roach (Planetary Unfolding), the Planetary Chronicles, Vol. 2 is an excellent piece of work and audio candy for any one wishing to close their eyes and submerse themselves in the texture of Jonn Serrie's music."
Pleasant Background Synth

"My favorite CD of all time in the soundtrack for the movie Bladerunner. I've long searched for "the genre of music" that this soundtrack represents.

John Serrie appears to be one of the few artists interested in the genre, which appears to be called "space music." This music is atmospheric, beautiful, but does not demand your attention. This is perfect for my music needs -- something to listen to and enjoy while I'm programming, animating, or writing.

I would normally recommend something that I enjoy as much as I enjoy this (and the other volume), but I know a lot of people who appear to despise music of this sort... You can't sing to it and you can't dance to it. In fact, you will probably never learn the names of individual tracks. Listen to the samples here on Amazon.com before you buy it."
