CD ReviewsI feel Star Queen is a breath of fresh air for Broadway. 06/01/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "After listening to Star Queen several times, each time I listen, I find a new appreciation for the untapped talent of John Thomas Oaks. First of all, I give many Kudos to J.T. for having the courage to write a "religious" based musical in an arena that caters mostly to secular themes. Star Queen not only tells a beautiful story about Esther, but the comic relief used within Star Queen demonstrates the abilities of Mr. Oaks. The unique melodies written by John Thomas most of all have etched out his place in the Broadway sound, now it is up to the so called experts to see in John Tomas Oaks what we hear in the Star Queen product."
