A week later and still wearing it out..

"I got this CD for my morning commute. Something soft and simple and positive to listen to in the early morning drive to work and so far i absolutely love it. In fact, I have listened to it quite often at work at home and definitely at the gym. I noticed while having this on my thoughts have definitely been more positive as well as my general state of mind. Its very relaxing and calming. If you listen to the demo and like what you hear then you will definitely like the rest of it as its all pretty much the same and no bad surprises. Some of the tracks just light me up when they come on.

Generally I listen to electronic music, ebm, goth, industrial, synth-pop, and movie soundtracks, so I'm not a new age kind of dude at all and did not find this music to be fake, obnoxious or Pollyanna or "new age" at all. All of the music here is piano, light acoustic guitars, soft synthesizers and at times very light strings. There's not a track on here that I dislike or find myself wanting to skip over, in fact there are a few favorites.

For the person that said they didnt like the music at all, I would suggest trying it as back ground music rather than sit down and focus attention on it music and you will probably get a lot of it. At least that's the impression that I had at first. Something to play as background music during a time where you find yourself doing most of your thinking (for me that's driving). It's definitely not a magic meditation cd that gives you rainbow brite powers after hearing it and it's nothing mystical. However, as background music (like in a movie soundtrack) and letting my thoughts drift, I definitely found my thoughts and emotional state to be lighter, brighter and much more positive. If you've read anything about Dr. Masaru Emoto's study of emotions and water crystals it's not hard to see why. It's like a massage for your emotions and thoughts.

After growing fond of the cd, I decided to try it at the gym during the first 10 minutes of my elliptical session and it was amazing, just pure neurons and Serotonin heaven. I had a calm, peaceful, and positive sense of self and emotion that I cant ever recall having before since childhood. It was like all was right in the world and I just let myself be in the moment. It seemed that nothing was too hard or complicated that any concerns I had could be solved with easy solutions (leaving out personal specifics). I'm sure exercising had a lot to do with it plus the previous week of listening to these tracks. But granted, I have been working out for over a year now at that gym and I have never felt like that before. After listening to my favorite tracks, setting a brisk pace and just moving and breathing deep and steady and not spending any time thinking about anything this time and just stayed relaxed, I felt so refreshed, renewed and uplifted. I hate to sound cheesy but it was like feeling the warm sun after a cool wind and rain on a spring day. After that period as an initial warm up I dialed up some Paul Van Dyk: The Politics of Dancing and just blew up the machine. My runners high has never been so immense.

"I love this CD! It helps that it was a digital download because I keep a copy of it in my car, a copy on my computer at home, and a copy at work. I keep it on a low volume in the background so I barely notice it's there, but I find myself smiling and breathing lighter after the first couple of songs. Excellent purchase, I definitely recommend it!"
