This Band Swings, His B3 Screams!

"Brother Jimmy McGriff tackles the works of Count Basie...This Big Band swings and his B3 screams!

Not sure if Nelson Riddle did the arrangements because it was never made clear who transcribed this for the big band.

From start to finish he plays with a passionate fury paying ode to one of his primary influences, (The King of Swing) If you're familiar with the works of the Count and the tonal organic inclinations of Brother McGriff, Then you'll feel right at home listening to this release. Thankfully the "impossible edit" that plagued the earlier CD release has been corrected and it's been restored to it's full glory. Highly recommended to all."
