Jim Gibson's sixteenth CD is a new direction for him...his first album of completely original music. Jim's niche in the solo piano world is that of quiet but interesting music. He has previously explored new ways to play great standards from America's classic composers. And, thousands of people across the world enjoy his music. These melodies were inspired by the intricate interactions of the natural world--the interlacings of leaves, the ripples on water, the layers of mountains in the distance. Jim kept these images in mind as these interesting, but simple and relaxing tunes evolved. And, unlike his other recordings that are the classic sound of the grand piano, Tapestry expands the palette to include the warm tones of the electric piano and the acoustic guitar.
