CD Reviews

GOODNIGHT MY LOVE !

"This Jesse Belvin song is the only one missing from this collection. It would have been complete with this classic. So sad to hear of the tragic ending of him and his wife in an auto accident !!"
I don't know how I missed Jesse Belvin before

"The periods that Jesse Belvin straddled were eras of which I am a fan of artists on both sides of Jesse. Nat King Cole and Sam Cooke are the two obvious bookends to Jesse. But the more you listen you can hear many more artists (not so obvious initially) that he was an inspiration to - Sammy Davis Jnr, Lou Rawls and Etta James.

After listening to this CD I'm amazed at how good Jesse was in such a short period of recording for RCA.

Never too old to learn and discover - still amazed at the quality of the arrangements and vocals

"I finally got a copy of this 36-song CD Set. This guy is so smooth and mellow--a great inspiration to my writings and paintings during the 60s. If you're a silly romantic like me, then you'll just cherish every word sung...."
