"Jean Carignan demonstrates on this album that he is one of very few who can claim accomplishment across all three of these musical genres (Irish, Scottish and French Canadian). Fiddle players normally excel in one genre, and don't travel well (a generalisation, I know). In this recording, you hear Carignan's technical brilliance, as well well as his "music" (there's a difference). And he has both! Very strongly recommended to afficionados of fiddle music, of whatever type."
