Synopsis

Product Description
The fruits of 5 months of hard labor, blood, sweat, and tears... the 14 songs on Jealous Type\'s \Farewell to Open Arms\ wear the smiles and bear the scars of the last year and a half spent on the road by the band. Produced and engineered by singer/guitarist Tommy Ciccone and the band itself, and mixed by Walt Bass at Metropolitan Studios, the record exudes youthful idealism and frustration by way of a wise-beyond-their-years execution. Stand-out tracks include \Reckless\, \Ghost Inside\, and \The Hardest Part\. \Reckless,\ a tune penned as a wake-up call to themselves, explores addiction and its consequences. \Ghost Inside\ follows in suit, while \The Hardest Part\ contains playful nods to the 80\'s and a hook that competes with the best of them. A.D Amorosi, head music critic for the Philadelphia Citypaper, likens Ciccone\'s vocals to \the voice of an angel\, while Origivation magazine hails them as THE dirty Philly rock band.\ This record is a good show of things to come for Jealous Type and is for sure \a keeper\. With the addition of Scott Frassetto ( Moby tour drummer ) and the remaining original line-up including Matt Hyatt on bass and Mike Weyes on keyboards, the next record and tour should prove to be exceptional.
