This is a deluxe re-issue of Jarboe's limited edition private press '98 album, re-mastered with three bonus tracks, presented in an oversized 6-color, 16-page booklet, with exclusive photos by Richard Kern. This is the third re-issue for the avant-auteur/ex-Swans/chanteuse and the first since 1995's "Sacrificial Cake". Like that album, this one is quite varied musically; quiet acoustic guitar, sound atmospheres, bell-like tones, manic samples, slow grinding guitars. Some tracks are quiet and sparse, some are harsh and Swans-like. The vocals are just as varied, as Jarboe seemingly channels angels and demons, while the songs' themes represent intimate emotions of her past. 100% honest art.
