One year on from the label's own debut mix CD, Music:01, UK based Four:Twenty Recordings releases Music:02 -- a double CD compilation. The first disc is mixed by James Mowbray while the second unmixed bonus disc is comprised of eight tracks of Four:Twenty artists including Martin Buttrich, Loco Dice and TG. For Music:02, James Mowbray (who also mixed the first in the series) again steps up and delivers a mix CD that encapsulates not only his knowledge and enthusiasm for underground electronic music but also one that demonstrates the current talent on offer from Four:Twenty itself - with James Mowbray and Leiam Sullivan's `Tropical Heights' and releases from Craig Torrance & Philip Hochstrate and B-Pole. Mowbray gently builds warm melodies and deep rhythms that take in quirky Arabic vocals, grimy techno and even a jazzy barbershop quartet. No question, Four:Twenty has become one of the UK's most sought-out house and techno label of late. Six years since its inception, the label has consistently introduced and pushed new artists like Dani Koenig and Alex Metric alongside established artists such as Konrad Black, Matthias Tanzmann, Daniel Stefanik and Serafin.
