"Sir James Galway has over the years recorded music that has been lapped up by the masses, Annie's Song,On Wing of a Song etc. being an example of this genre. However few people know of his serious recordings, and this is one of them. It is a pity that only mostly his commercial recordings are freely available and not his serious ones. I would highly recommend this cd as all 3 works are performed in a throroughly competent, extremely musical manner and are a must for every serious classical music lover. Galway's tone is incredibely beautiful and Moll's accompaniment is of a high and brilliant standard. Never do both soloists overshadow one another and both players compliment each other with incredible finesse and tone colour. Now please! make all other serious works By James Galway available on cd. I think of Reinecke, Arnold, The early Mozart Flute Concerto recordings, Beethoven etc."
