"Guys, fellows, cats, boppers, swingers, Jazzlovers, take your wallet, take out of it your best 30 dollars, the best of them, the most green, the most new, the most fresh, the ones with the best smell, the most beautiful,... the ones you love the most and with them buy this album ABSOLUTLY. Buy it, don't make questions. Buy it. Believe me. I tell you my story. This album has been in the record shop I visit every week in my town for the last, I don't know 5 years I guess, maybe more because the new edition in the connossoir series is dated 1996. So maybe this album waited for me for 9 years. I remember I considered it a lot of times but each time I ended up buying something else. If I think that I could lose it, I fell sick. Now I Have bought it, I have it in my hands, I'm in front of my Avalon loudspeakers and I'm listening to it with tears in my eyes. It's absolutly splendid. This album from Jack Wilson is simply fantastic, legenadary I would call it. Absolutly memorable stuff. Memorable since the first listening. It's pure gold. One of the most satisfying listening I had in Jazz. And I am a Jazz musician and own thousands of Jazz albums from any era. The four compositions from Jack Wilson here are nothing less than superb. His playing absolutly exceptionl, he was technical AND lyrical at the same time. A perfect hard bopper. I point out the first and the fifth tunes as the most unusual stuff even if absolutly ipnotical tunes. They are modal stuff for the most part, oh, really great! The other tunes are originals tonal tunes from Wilson, Coltrane (Mr Day, a blues), Coleman and maybe a standard wich is called Serenata. Exceptional the contribution from Roy Ayers on vibes (Ray Brown's on the bass... nothing more to add). A really fantastic sound, piano and vibes, very balanced and inspiring. This album has immediatly became one of my favorites. It's untouchable. You absolutly have to buy this one. If you have a good hifi system you'll enjoy even a fantastic remastering. Wow, what an album! I can't do nothing but tap my feet and dance on my sofa' miming the instruments! WOWOWOOWOWOWOWW! Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I've enjoyed this album for many years. It's one of the best jazz piano performances I know of. Check out Harbor Freeway. You'll never forget it. First rate!"
