JVOX Delivers The Goods
chadpad | New York, NY | 02/28/2002

"For his debut album 'Shuffling Data,' JVOX has been able to capture the sound and essence of the minimilastic electronica genre. The New York based artist's use of sound and rhythm, combined with a unique sense of style, make 'Shufflind Data' an excellent debut effort."
Never gets old

"I can listen to his music straight through and never get tired of the titillating sounds. He seems to effortlessly bridge the gap between the themes of melancholy and hope in his music with his almost scientific assembly of sounds (i.e. track 2: Cadona-beautiful use of the violin and music box effect). The dream-like state his music projects is highly sensual and hypnotic, and draws you in further and further (i.e. track 5: Salazar-a svelte beat against varying percussions moving in and out). This music is too good to articulate well here. You just need to throw on the headphones and kick back. Since this is a debut album, Shuffling Data seems as though it may be the tip of the iceberg for JVOX's talents in creating unique and well developed electronic music."

"I'm a huge electronica fan - the mainstream and especially underground. I was beginning to feel like this genre was dying - until I picked up a copy of Shuffling Data by JVOX.It is by far the most original and engaging ambient disc I've heard in a long while. But I don't think its going to stay underground much longer. Every party I go to lately is booming "Hugger" and "Coflow" - two very penetrating beats. The rest of the disc is also very good. Its only a matter of time before the Phatboy Slims and Puff Daddys sample this disc to death. Enjoy it while you can!I have only 2 questions: Who is JVOX? And when are they putting out their next album?"
