"This is Swedish pop at its absolute best; lush, gorgeous and impassioned." IT'S A TRAP. Labrador's only band singing in their native language return with a focused ten track pop album produced by Jari Haapalainen (Camera Obscura, Ed Harcourt, The Concretes). [ingenting] are known for their perplexity and obstinacy and numerous art designers, photographers and booking agents have given up working with them because... well, it just hasn't worked at all. Producer Jari Haapalainen is known for taking control over recordings and making all the decisions. It wasn't completely without fear that we teamed the two of them up. Luckily, the collaboration turned out better than we could ever have hoped. The band's previous albums have, for better or worse, been a slightly schizophrenic mix of psychedelic folk songs, punkier tracks and soft, sinister guitar pop. "Tomhet, idel tomhet" is what [ingenting] do best - sincere, melodic pop music at it's finest. The first single "Halleluja!" is right now the most played song on Sweden's largest radio station (SR P3) and the band is now waiting to take over the world.
