Synopsis

Product Description
Acceleration Theory is the debut sci-fi concept album from the progressive rock supergroup In Continuum, led by Dave Kerzner (Sound of Contact). It features Kerzner and Gabriel Agudo (Steve Rothery Band) on lead vocals with special guests Jon Davison (Yes) and Leticia Wolf (Dead Deads) also on vocals, Randy McStine (SOC), Fernando Perdomo (DKB), John Wesley (Porcupine Tree) on guitars with fellow Sound of Contact band mate Matt Dorsey on guitar and bass. Marco Minnemann and Nick D'Virgilio are on drums and special guests on this album include Steve Hackett of Genesis, Steve Rothery of Marillion with strings by Joe Deninzon, Ruti Celli and Kaitlin Wolfberg. Mixed and Produced by Dave Kerzner with additional mixing by industry legends Tom Lord-Alge and Chris Lord-Alge, this independent classic rock and progressive rock release brings back some of the qualities of popular concept albums such as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon or Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Fans of Sound of Contact's Dimensionaut concept album will appreciate that many of the same songwriters and players from SOC are on this album and the main songwriter, Dave Kerzner, has said that he created the project as a home for his unreleased Sound of Contact songs originally planned for their second album. The Acceleration Theory Story Acceleration Theory by In Continuum is a multi-part story with a series of albums. The first album simply titled "Acceleration Theory" also goes by "Acceleration Theory Part 1: AlienA" and tells the tale of how a female from an advanced civilization on another world comes to visit Earth to warn of an impending invasion. She crash lands in Nevada and is taken into custody. She is labeled "Alien A". She escapes to a nearby farm where she meets the benevolent Earth man, Kai. It turns out they both recognize each other from visions they've both had. They form a special bond and she has to teach Kai the ways of her people in order to stop the invasion from destroying mankind on Earth. Before she can finish her training she is unwillingly rescued by her people and taken back to her home planet. Kai is left on is own to complete the mission. For fans of melodic atmospheric bands like Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Marillion, Big Big Train, Sound of Contact and Dave Kerzner's solo work, In Continuum delivers a powerful and memorable album listening experience that's rare to find these days.
