"Not your typical "smooth jazz" disc--it's better! Just pop it in, and enjoy! This is actually a pair of mid-sixties releases that were reissued by Rhino. Hubert Laws is a flute virtuoso with the talent to play any style of music, though his jazz is best. This CD contains a combination of upbeat melodic jazz, some with latin emphasis, and smooth, blues stylings as well. This CD is more for fans of well organized, harmonic jazz styles, rather than for fans of the more random, less harmonic stylings of Miles Davis or Wynton Marsalis."
