YEES...HORSE NOODLES!!!

"Being that I'm the only reviewer of this CD, it's apparent that folks haven't gotten hip to Horse Noodles (sniggle) or either they're too inundated with the other more ubiquitous electronica of today to really care or notice him/her/them...Be that as it may, it pleases me to be the first to comment on how totally awesome and accessible this CD is. Initially I was thrown off by the ludicrous name of this person/group and the even more asinine song titles on this CD, but thankfully I didn't allow that to keep me from purchasing it. This is perhaps the best and most original CD I have heard this year, or ever for that matter. Horse Noodles is acid jazz, funk, dub, ambient and low BPM house all rolled into one, with stand-out tracks being the funky "Rudy's Got the Number", the abstract, "Disco Elegante", the pseudo-Latinesque, "Have a Cigar", the galloping, "The Day the Horse Stood Still", the playful, "Hide in the Trunk", the ambiently groovy, "Wanda's Beauty Secrets", the outrageous, "Lost My Dog", the smooth, "Trick or Treating With Horse Noodles", and the spectacular--and personal fave--"Some Lone Ranger Noodles!" You may laugh and scoff like I did when you see this CD, but once you get past the ridiculous name and the cheesy CD cover, you'll find this to be some very amazing and creative music."
