Synopsis

Album Description
Sounds that are a celebration gleaned from the soul of our nation?s heartland, "Horizon Home" is the newest collection of songs from renowned illustrator and wind synthesist Paul Micich. The album, which features improvised duets with guitarist Mitch Espe (collectively, World Port) brings together songs inspired by the Midwest that were recently featured in the Emmy® Award-winning PBS documentary, ?The Four Seasons.? World Port?s style of music is one that cannot be categorized. Their blend of ?eclectica,? an instrumental, world-beat influenced collage of music that fits the categories of American Folk, Classical, Blues, Jazz, Celtic, and South American, is a unique addition to the New Age/instrumental music genre. It finds its roots in the grasslands of the Midwest, where Paul currently resides, but travels to prairies and cultures around the world for inspiration.
