This entirely acapella collection is characterized by high clarity of the musical lines and expressive interpretations of the rondeau and ballade forms. Anyone interested in Guillaume Dufay's early secular songs and other contemporary works would benefit from this album. Every time I listen to this album, I am blown away by the beauty of this music. The Hilliard Ensemble brings the early fifteenth century alive!"
