Kelly | Portland, Oregon United States | 09/18/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "This cd is a curious one, but in the end, a very satisfying one to listen to.Recorded in the early 70's as "The Heptones and Friends Meet the Now Generation," which gives a better clue as to what this lp is about, the recordings match the old rocksteady standard bearers in the Heptones, as well as the Ethiopians, along side some of the emerging reggae movement's brightest and most gifted stars in Peter Tosh of the Wailers, Dennis Brown, and the classic dee-jay Big Youth.Just having these disperate performances on the same disc alone is worth the price of admission, so give it a listen. It's a beautiful mix of the old and the new guards of Jamaican music. A joy."
