CD Reviews

Amazing
George Woodruff Foley | atlanta | 08/24/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"i own a lot of records and none like this one. if nirvana was doomy it would be close. i've heard HM described as a dichotomy between beauty and ugliness, achingly beautiful, brutally beautiful. i've listened to this record everyday for the past month and i'm still not tired of it and listening to records over and over again is something i DON'T do. the distortion comes from Jesus. it's perfect and so are the singer's vocals. so many amazing bands musically ruin the music with a bad voice but i love Harvey Milk's. he sounds like a wounded grizzly bear that smokes a carton of cigarettes a day. buy."
Crush

"this album slays. it crushes. finally reissued (i wish on vinyl!!!). when i hear it is like dropping acid and listening to sap cry out of a poplar, but slowed down to the point that you feel your mom touching your head with her fingertips back when your head was crowning... back then... before words... and only id spoke."
