How sweet it was to hear his voice. Not lush and polished like the Nat but sweet and tender underlying his lyrics of love and longing, betrayal and disappointment. I listen to this CD in the car and voila, I am in a different time, a different place, and I am happy. Give this recording a try. The sound is a bit grainy, but after all, it is old! It's not enough to dimish your pleasure. Sweet and Hot--that's what it is."
