CD Reviews

A NICE OVERVIEW OF THE GROUP'S EARLY 40's & MID 50's RECORDI
Mr. Nightshift | Los Angeles, CA | 12/03/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Be forwarned on the early recordings you're gonna hear the cracking and pops the associated with recordings from this period. Very informative liner notes. One has to really into Gospel to appreiciate the early recordings (Mostly found on Disc 1).

The sound changes on Disc 2 (More modern sounding) ala The Soul Stirrers, the Mid 50's recordings of the Swan Silvertones. Very enjoyable throughtout. Should have released on seperate Volumes."
