Hal Collins was born in October of 1962 to the daughter of the founder of the small Baptist church in a remote part of the northern New Mexico Mountains. His father played in the local bands until being saved and then began sharing his music in churches and county fairs. Being raised in a Gospel Bluegrass band, it was only natural for Hal to start writing. By the time he was eighteen he had written his first Christian song (""Turn to Jesus""). Hal continued writing and performing in churches and small local events and surrendered to the ministry ten years ago. Since that time he has been involved as youth minister for three churches in his hometown area. Through their ministry, HG Music Ministries, Hal and his wife Glenda have dedicated their lives to spreading God's love through music. They have put their business up for sale and are preparing for Hal's first tour following the completion of his sophomore CD, currently in production.
