"I grew up listen to the rich voice of Portables. I have only had an old record which was beginning to wear thin. Hearing the enchanting voice with the clarity of cd has broght joy to my heart."

"I was blown away by the sounds on this album. The guitar work is precision and dynamic. The lead vocals and backup are very soulful and well modulated. A very clean sound consisting of voice, guitar and percussion that is easy to listen to and yet is an emotional experience. The songs are mostly guajira, bolero, and son styles."
