CD Reviews

Don't give up on this CD!

"I had never heard of Gomez, but one day I happen to come across the group on the internet. I'm always looking for new artists to check out. I love all sorts of genres and artists.

I was curious and looked at and Split the Difference happened to be their most recent effort at the time so I clicked on it and listened to it.

At first listen, I only gravitated to a few songs. I immediately took to "Sweet Virginia" and "These 3 Sins", but not much else.

I decided I wasn't giving it a fair try, so I listened to it again...and again. Slowly, I began to love the CD.

My absolute favorite tracks are: "Catch Me Up" (I really, really love this song), "Sweet Virginia", "These 3 Sins", "Silence", and "Extra Special Guy".

Now I'm really interested to check out their previous efforts to see if I like it as much as Split the Difference.

This is a really solid effort, and I love it!! Definately give it a try."

"Dont give up on it. Much like In Our Gun, it took me a few listens to really appreciate it. To be honest, the first couple listens I really didn't like it and was rather disappointed. Now I am a believer. Gomez is one of the best bands around and gets better with age."
