CD Reviews

Sounds like Purple
Golovanov Alexey | Limassol, Cyprus | 12/03/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Exceptional prog-rock quintet from Louisville, Kentucky which sounds like "Deep Purple meets acoustic Led Zeppelin" (the lead singer, Jim Kitchen, by the way, sometimes reminds Robert Plant; the rest of the musicians should be also remembered: Dave Wood - grand piano, Moog, clavinet; Peters - Steve on drums, and Bill on bass; Paul Bays - lead guitar). Originally released in 1972 it became a collector's item - don't confuse it with "Goliath" of CBS - and buy it immediately. A must for every fan of the 70s, especially of hard rock. P.S. You can even call it "stoner", but it's just great hard'n'heavy - as I knew it, plus exceptional acoustic pieces"
