"i was surprised when i first heard saw this album in a store, i wasnt holding out too much hope when i bought it.

boy was i wrong. this album is a joy to listen to and really emotes to the listener. uncle pen never fails to get me singing along as do many of the other songs. goldie takes on joni mitchells carey and does a fine job. when one listens to an album such as this, its simplicity is its strength. many of todays singers could take a leaf from goldie on this album. sure her voice isnt in the same leauge as some of the singers we hear, but her exposition of song is spot on. a little gem."
Her Only Album - Folk Pop with a 1960s Twist

"Heres the things - this is a gorgeous album, and I would compare it to the very best of both Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon. The first time I heard it, I didn't really know who the singer was, but when I found out, I made it a point to download the entire thing.

"Goldie", which remains Goldie Hawn's only ever album, is a folk-pop album comparable to some of the early work of Joni Mitchell. It is definitely pop in some places, but overall it manages to retain its folk quality throughout. The standout track is the opener "Blue Tears", which is a soft, melodious number, while "Butterfly" is a wistful mellow song that makes you want to hit the repeat button.

Its amazing that this album is so good. I mean, between all actresses who became singers, I can only think of this album, and "The Divine Comedy" by Milla Jovovich as being truly transcedental. In this case especially, Goldie is a stunning vocalist - she isn't a trained singer, but she can hold a note, much like Mandy Moore, or (even better) Sara Bareilles.

"Goldie" now remains a lost artifact from the 1970s, and not many people even know of its' existence. If you are on this page by accident, consider this a command to buy this album!! You certainly will be the richer for it.

In sum, if you love Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos & other alternative musicians with a folk-pop twist, this is the album for you. Amazing work here."
OMG is that Goldie Hawn?

"Actually I knew Goldie was able to sing when I watched THE FIRST WIVES CLUB and I was kinda surprised by her singing abilities.. Some years later she recorded A HARD DAY'S NIGHT which was absolutely outstanding and not long ago I learnt she had recorded this album in 1972. It's a fine piece of music, mainly beautifully arranged country songs with nice back vocals and Goldie's golden voice. The songs are very original and they will stick to your head"
