POP PUNKERS DELIGHT!!!!!!

"I had no problem liking this CD back in the day. Ten years ago, we were introduced to a plague known as Pop Punk, that still threatens cool Junior High and High School kids everywhere, with gay (...)type music, that tricks kids into thinking they are above the realm of boy band fans, but really they are just being laughed at by the rest of us.

I was a wee young lad when this phony poser punk shlock came about. If you ask me, I blame Green Day's Dookie for starting it all, still many don't believe me, and hence.. the beast still lives.

However, within this realm of "Poser Punk", some bands still made it possible to rock out, while at the same time appeal to teenie boppers, and a mass radio appeal. GOLDFINGER, although, since their debut, have acheived little to no success, were one of those bands, that although may have been branded with the pop, or poser punk iron... still were pretty good. Some songs, I may even go as far to say, were pretty kick ass.

For instance ANSWERS is a pretty bitchin' song. I still put that one onto party mixes all the time! The song about L.A (I can't remember off the top of my head, AMAZON doesn't list a track list for this album)but was pretty rad too!

And the radio songs were far less gay than radio punk was about to become in the following few years. Kids, you may even find this disc to be somewhat hardcore. HERE IN YOUR BEDROOM, for instance... chicks LOVED that song. Pretty good riff. These songs were catchy, witty, punky, and they had some balls. Yeah, they did have some balls. Suck on that Billie Joe!"
So great its depressing (that there is no more like it)

"Goldfinger is the band that got my musical tastes to where they are today. I originally fell in love with Hang-Ups and never really heard songs from this album till a few months ago, though I have heard pretty much all songs from others. I decided to download this album (later bought it) and it is my all time favorite album beating even Hang-ups. I depresses me (literally) that I can't find another band/album to match it. I hate how their music is changing. It's great they are singing about what they believe in but the music itself has gone downhill. I mean I still love them and always will but they should really try to release at least one song per album that brings back their original sound. And yes I do play this album at least once a week and I officially call it "my Happy Album" since hearing it esp while driving ALWAYS cheers me up tremendiously."
