Synopsis

Album Description
"No Less Than All," GLAD's fourth release (1983), continued to propel GLAD's reputation as a tightly harmonizing group with a smooth jazz-pop sound to back them up. Fans will recognize tracks such as "Maker of My Heart" and "Born to be Broken," classic examples of GLAD's well-known, scripturally-based lyrics. This album also features the only recording of "Variations on a Hymn (That Hymn Thing)," GLAD's much-demanded concert shtick that traced the development of contemporary Christian music from Martin Luther to modern times. This version of "No Less Than All" was rereleased in 1997 by Light Records, along with other vintage GLAD material, such as "Captured in Time," "Live at the Kennedy Center," and "Champion of Love."

"I bought this cd from amazon recently, there is nothing in the description of the item that tells that is not the original, is a cheap copy. i never expeceted this from amazon. I though they only sell original CDs. I felt like i have been robed. buyers beware from cheap booglet CDS."
My Favorite Of All Their Albums

"I have at least one copy of every album (24) that Glad has ever done, going all the way back to two vinyl copies of the first album -- I wore out my first copy! I love their "a cappella" music, and my two all-time favorite songs are both "a cappella" ("Hallelujah" and "Amazing Love"), but, to me, this is the greatest album they have done, with a "5-Star" from me on each and every song. These songs are perhaps the most deeply moving and spiritually challenging, real "meat" in the topics and issues they deal with, plus true "fun" in "Variations on a Hymn" at the end. I have found myself coming back to this album over-and-over again, since I got my first "vinyl" copy in 1983, for inspiration and encouragement, and I hope you will too!"
It's a very good one, but not my favorite... so four stars!

"The harmony and pure musical quality of Glad is always a welcome sound on my car stereo, long road trips and made much more enjoyable by being able to "belt out" along with the guys and praise Him while driving. This particular CD doesn't have quite as many "peppy" sing along songs and some other selections I own, and I still have to say my favorite is, oddly, their Christmas CD "An Acappella Christmas" any time of year. We received an email from another Glad review from a fan looking for the recording with the different versions of "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee" explaining an amusing possible chronology of contemporary Christian music. This is the CD with that dialogue and recording on it, if it helps you now I hope..."
