"These four girls are like the female version of the Oakridge Boys. This is just one of three albums that features the Girls' unique and angelic fourpart harmony. If you love great female harmony, this is a must have album. I bought this album over a decade ago when it first came out and I still listen to it all the time. That's how good it is."

Forgotten country harmony group

"Following the success of the Judds and the Forester sisters, several female harmony groups attempted to follow the example including Evangeline and Wild Rose, both of whom faded back into obscurity. Another equally brilliant but equally unsuccessful group was the Girls next door. Most of their songs are up-tempo contemporary country.The title track is a cover of the old Champaign pop hit. They do this song superbly, but it conjures up a whole new image. Four women sing How about us? Now that's a thought for any man to contemplate. None of the other songs are as famous as that one, though Marsha Thornton (another brilliant singer that faded into obscurity) also recorded Wasn't it you. Best of the many other fine songs may be One of the boys and Few good men.If you enjoy the music of the Forester sisters, you will probably enjoy this album."
