Synopsis

Product Description
As a rule, live Hip Hop releases aren?t all that. But rules? Hip Hop is not about rules. Ghostface isn?t about rules. He?s about breaking rules and that?s just what he does on ?Live In New York City?... he?s smashing the rules, obliterating them, killing it just like what he did verbally last October in New York. The sound quality is the highest as Tony Starks and his crew take you through material drawn from his solo efforts like ?Ironman? and ?Supreme Clientele?. There?s even an early version of ?Be Easy? from this year?s ?Fishscale?. Of course Ghostface couldn?t hit the stage in New York without a tribute to ODB. It?s here in the form of ?Shimmy Shimmy Ya?. And what would a Hip Hop show be without a stage full of great guests; Cappadonna, Masta Killa, GZA, Trife Da God, Killah Priest and more were all in attendance and on the mic that night last October.

CD Reviews

Not as good as Ghost can do!
J. Allen | SLC, UT | 01/11/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Not that the disc is bad when you compare it to most of hip hop on the Billboard these days but when you out it up to what you expect from a Ghost album it's just that hot. It does have some fly tracks ie. "Forth Chamber" "One Blood" but killa tracks like "Holla" are less than decent, so judge for yourself but don't just pickup the album for the expected Ghost brilliance for that break out "the Pretty Toney Album", "Fishscale", or " Supreme Clientele"."
