The Epitomy of Good Music

"The Get Up Kids Red Letter Day [EP] delivers some of the band's best songs. Forgive and Forget is replete with awsome guitars and drums while Anne Arbour is strung out with thoughtful lyrics. Mass Pike combines bells and drums to provide a funky intro then goes into a sonic assault of power chords, drums, bells, and even strings. Anne Arbour is probably my favorite song on the EP. The songs are simple, yet pack a quasi-punk/emo punch that is definitivly Get Up Kids style. The lyrcis are simple at times, but they are still good, and contain verses that everyone can realate to. It took a few listenings to get into this one, but then it became a seasoned veteran in my CD player. If you are looking for something new, and haven't checked out The Get Kids yet, this CD can definetly start you out on the right track. If you like the Get Up Kids, you should aslo check out Jimmy Eat World and Alkaline Trio for some awesome music too."

"This little cd gave me a karate chop to the spine. I bought this cd like 2 1/2 years ago and finally got around to reviewing it along with all my favorite cds. This cd has only 5 songs but they are some of the greatest songs I have ever heard. This cd has amazing repeat listening value. It is a little faster (more punk than emo but just barely). I would recommend this to any punk fan trying to ease their way into emo. Anne Arbour may be the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Red Letter Day is probably the first song that hooks you though. If you like this, you may like Fairweather."
