CD ReviewsA few intersting cuts pseudonym | Northeast USA | 06/12/2001 (3 out of 5 stars) "The most interesting parts of this recording are the 4 short piano roll recordings of Gershwin playing songs of other composers. These demonstrate the "song-plugger" style of playing from about 1917-1927, with its stride bass, rolled chords and very full texture. There are also 2 Nonesuch Piano Roll recordings by Gershwin with material not duplicated here, so if you like these, I recommend them as well."
