Synopsis

The George Winston CDs in this box speak eloquently for themselves. There's the warm, by-the-fire holiday favorite December, the dramatic poetry of Winter into Spring, the playful tribute to Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts soundtrack music on Linus & Lucy, and a handful of other equally wonderful Winston CDs, the most unusual being his early-70s blues work inspired by Fats Waller. This master pianist solidified a new genre of delicate yet intensely poetic piano, and this is the most comprehensive collection of his work. The music on these CDs will lovingly gather you into its gentle, intimate arms. --Karen K. Hugg

"If you could purchase joy, like joy was something tangible you could possess, then this is the closest you will ever get. If you you don't fall in love with Colors/Dance from Autumn, look at halloween differently through the Woods from Autumn, relive Christmas Eve as a child on December, find solice in January Stars on Winter into Spring, and feel regret in Where are you now? on Summer, then you have my pity."
